Important Meeting Point: Join us at the Grand Central Station's "Transport Information Big Board," conveniently located near Platform 3. If you arrive early, there’s a delightful café right next door where you can mingle with fellow walkers.
Discover Our New Unique Walk: Join the "Enjoy-Easy-Peasy-Walk! Central-Glebe-Rozelle-Leichhardt-Lewisham!" Experience an engaging 10km adventure through the charming inner suburbs, designed especially for beginners who prefer a stroll without the stress of steep hills or extensive stairs!
Starting Point: We kick off at Central Station and make our way down Railway Colonnade Drive to the iconic "The Goods Line." Prepare for an enjoyable zig-zag journey leading us to Wentworth Park. We'll then cross over to the Glebe Rowing Club, meandering past the scenic Blackwater Bay Park, Bicentennial Park, Jubilee Park, and Federal Park.
Exciting Pathways Await! Our route takes a delightful twist towards Rozelle Bay, conveniently located near the new interchange. Crossing the Pedestrian Bridge at Whites Creek is a highlight, and the views around Rozelle Wetlands offer intriguing new pathways to explore.
As we navigate over the City W Link, we’ll arrive at Cohen Park Tennis Courts, followed by Whites Creek Valley Park and Memorial Park. You'll find restrooms and water fountains throughout these scenic routes, making it a refreshing journey through Sydney's hidden gems!
Midway Stop: We’ll take a 20-minute break at "Son of a Baker", a bakery with five large ovens producing a variety of delicious breads. Right next door is "The Local Tart", offering an array of tasty options. Enjoy your break seated comfortably inside or outside, making it the perfect halfway point!
Onward We Go: After our break, we'll continue to Pioneer Memorial Park (with accessible bathrooms). We’ll pass Blackmore Oval and make our way toward the Darley Road Pedestrian Tunnel, followed by Marion Light Rail, which provides exit options for those who wish to leave early.
Continuing along the Greenway Track to Taverners Light Rail, there’s yet another convenient exit if needed. With such a manageable route, we’ll wrap up our journey at Lewisham Station or a nearby local pub. Lewisham Train Station is perfectly positioned for your return journey, whether heading towards the city or Parramatta.
