Join George for a Unique Walking Experience: Embark on an unforgettable journey through the scenic heart of Sydney! Discover the beauty of Sydney's parks as we navigate a delightful 10km route. This is more than just a walk; it's an adventure surrounded by nature that you won't want to miss!

Kick-off at Circular Quay: Our adventure begins with a climb of 52 stairs leading to Government House. We'll stroll past the enchanting Garden Amphitheatre, located behind the renowned Sydney Conservatorium of Music, and make our way to the Calyx, known for its stunning floral displays. From this point, we'll zigzag through hidden gardens, passing the Sydney Fernery en route to the charming Palm House. This marks our exit from The Botanical Gardens (Park No. 1).

Next, we will cut through the Art Gallery of NSW into Domain (Park No. 2). Who would have thought Sydney's parks could be this fantastic? Join us for a day filled with exploration and enjoyment!

Discover Secret Pathways: We'll visit the intriguing "Big Matchsticks" sculpture in Woolloomooloo, where you can touch these unique structures! Nearby is the New South Wales Police Force Wall of Remembrance, honoring the bravery of 350 officers who have served since the 1850s. Take a moment for reflection and hydration during our quick 3-minute stop.

As we continue, keep an eye out for the bronze statue of Robert Burns, the revered Scottish poet. We’ll then take a less-traveled route behind Saint Mary's Cathedral as we make our way to Hyde Park (No. 3).

Wandering past the Pool of Reflection, we will reach the Anzac Memorial. After a brief detour to the "GoGet CarShare pod" reserve for a unique treat, we’ll head towards Belmore Park (No. 4), conveniently located near Central Station. Here, we’ll take a 15-minute break at a nearby pub to recharge.

Explore Prince Alfred Park (No. 5), home to a 50m heated outdoor pool. We’ll walk through the park and visit Reconciliation Park (a quaint spot), before exploring the hidden lanes around Australia Post Strawberry Hills. We’ll then arrive at Redfern Park (No. 6), entering through the World War I Memorial.

Our journey continues to T.J. Hickey Park, a small reserve, followed by Waterloo Garden and the Captain Cook Sundial & Plaque, plus the James Cook Garden. Finally, we’ll make our way to Alexandria Park (No. 7), nearing the end of our tour. We’ll pass by Eveleigh Green on our way to Brew Dog and Redfern Station.

Feeling Hungry or Thirsty? Enjoy a refreshing experience at the popular Brew Dog, a no-nonsense bar specializing in craft beers from the Scottish brewery, along with regular guest brews. Our adventure concludes at the Redfern Railway Museum and the Eveleigh Locomotive Workshop. Let’s savor this experience!

Meeting Point: Gather outside Customs House near the steps at the corner of Loftus & Alfred Streets.
Distance: 10km

Difficulty: This is a very easy 3-hour walk with ample opportunities to leave the group along the way.
Walking Pace: We will maintain a comfortable pace of 4km-4.25km per hour.

What to Bring: Dress comfortably, and don’t forget to bring a litre of water, some snacks, a hat, sunscreen, and a raincoat just in case! Bring your positive energy along too!
